Sustainability

Sustainability is a very serious topic, in which Movievalley deeply believes. It's not fashion or rhetoric, but the need to find the most suitable paths to put it into practice and offer a future to the planet and to those who will live on it. For this reason, each of us must feel the responsibility to do something, even in our daily lives, making choices that go towards sustainable living.

Movievalley firmly believing in all this, expresses it with the Green Fork section and the shorts that represent it, creating moments of encounter and initiatives that amplify the message, involving young people and adults. Sustainability is such a strong and demanding theme that Movievalley also wanted it to appear in the Cinemainviaggio.com magazine, which is an offshoot of the Festival.

For this reason, in addition to articles on the world of cinema, tourism and gastronomy related in various ways to cinematography, there are also articles that talk about sustainability in the world of work and professions, each with an introductory link to the big screen.

GREEN FORKS
This section of shorts in competition is a recent novelty of Movievalley, which started in 2021 when it was decided to give space to works that tell sustainable agriculture and healthy eating through the language chosen by the directors. An important theme in which the festival believes a lot and which it wanted to expand by giving space to short films in which the concept of sustainability ranged from the environment, to food, to the way of life, to water… and beyond…

The purpose of this section, which joins those that have always been within the Festival, (Italian and foreign fiction, international animation) is to offer the public various film stories that make one think, strike through images, suggest a new awareness to our daily life and the attention we give to our attitudes and our choices with respect to the issue of sustainability. We are only a small piece of what is being done in this sense in different fields and with strengths far superior to ours, but we believe that Movievalley too can help mark a new path to take all together, in the name of a sustainable world .
